The GfG is intensively dedicated to the promotion and mentoring of young scientists.
In order to recognize the outstanding work of doctoral students, they are awarded the prestigious Elisabeth Gateff Prize, endowed with €3,000, for their excellent dissertations every year.
Junior research group leaders are actively supported with the annual workshop “On the way to a professorship”. In this intensive workshop, information and tips for a successful application for a university professorship in Germany are discussed.
The GfG awards poster prizes at selected conferences and provides financial support for conference visits.
In addition, experienced members of the GfG are available as mentors for all questions regarding a university career. If you are interested, please contact the board and/or advisory board.
