Markus Kuhlmann has been re-elected treasurer of the company. His scientific work focuses on epigenetic mechanisms in plants. He works at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) in Gatersleben in the Heterosis working group in the Molecular Genetics department.
His research focuses on the regulatory mechanisms mediated by small RNAs and DNA methylation in the context of abiotic stress. His research objects are the plant model systems thale cress and barley under drought stress.
